The former police officer who stripped Naked at Langata Police Station last week has been arraigned in court.
Charles Kamau Mugo was on Thursday morning charged with creating disturbance and causing a breach of peace outside the police station.
Speaking through his lawyer, charles said he pitched camp at the station because he had not been given his clearance certificate from the service.
“These charges are as a result of him being a police officer. Although he resigned, according to the standing orders of the police service, he remains an officer because he has not been cleared. That is the reason he was at the station,” his lawyer said in a statement.
Mugo denied the charges and was released on a Sh30,000 bond. His case will be mentioned on July 27.
Mugo went haywire last week on Wednesday when he decided to undress infron tof a police station to get the attention of the police boss.
He is said to have been sacked from the service and wanted the commissioner to reinstate him back but wasnt able to get an opportunity to meet him.
