The domain, uhuru.co.ke, is up for sale for 9953 EUR which amounts to Kshs. 1.1 Million.
The website has this message: “The owner of uhuru.co.ke is offering it for sale for an asking price of 9953 EUR.”
Reports indicate that uhuru.co.ke was placed open for bidders at almost Sh1.1 Million by the German-based company.
It is not clear why the website with Uhuru’s name was parked and flagged for sale though speculations indicate that the owner might have forgotten to renew the personal site that was reportedly launched in 2011 ahead of 2013 General Election.
At the same time, it is said that it could be cyber squatting is the practice of registering names, especially well-known company or brand names as Internet domains in the hope of reselling them at a profit.
