There was a shocking incident at the Maasai Mara that left many people wondering – aChinese tour guide stabbed a Chinese couple.
The tour guide stabbed both the man and his wife with a knife, killing the woman instantly. The husband is said to have survived the ordeal with serious injuries.
According to witnesses, the couple and the tour guide are said to have argued over occupying a particular dinner table at the Keekorok Lodge in maasai mara.
The tour guide, who has been identified as Lee Changqin, is said to have demanded that they leave their table, and that they should sit at their regular table but they refused, leading to the argument.
The argument became so intense and the assailant took a knife from his pocket, stabbed the woman twice in the chest and ribs. and she died a few minutes later.
The incident left made most of the 100 tourist visiting the park, abandoning the tour due to the shock and fearing for their safety.
Confirming the incident, Commander Jillo Galgalo of Narok County said the woman’s husband was flown to Nairobi Hospital for treatment on Tuesday.
The suspect was arrested and taken to Narok Police Station.
