The Orange Democratic Movement party (ODM) has now reduced the amount of money that it will pay its supporters who were injured during the anti-electoral commission protests.
According to the ODM Homa Bay county chairperson, Gladys Wanga, on Sunday, August 7, said the victims would get KSh 20,000 each.
“The party is issuing money to victims of police brutality in solidarity with their course to protest against the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC),”
It seems that it has become a burden to the party or some people have taken the advantage of it to fraud the party in the name of compensation.
More than 20 people were injured in the demos, and several killed.
