Singer Daddy Owen who recently dropped his new hit, ‘Wewe Ni Mungu’ has been hit hard after he was accused of plagiarising a song by South African artist Kgotso dubbed ‘Messiah.’
After the news went viral on social media, with a section of his fans asking him why he did it, the singer has now come out to clear the air.
“No one can claim the right of the song that originated from DRC and has since been sang in South Africa, Zambia just to mention a few countries. Besides I never claimed to own the song and that is why I clearly stated that the song is a rendition-in Swahili version.” the singer told SDE.
Daddy Owen said that people should do their researh first before going to to accuse him of such an act.
