Here is Kidero’s Statement After Closure of Racist Chinese Restaurant

After the Chinese restaurant in Nairobi was exposed for being racist and locking out Kenyans out of its premises after 6pm, it has now been established that some illegal business was going on there, this included operating without a license and carrying out prostitution business.

Nairobi Governor Dr. Evans kidero sent a team of investigators to check it out and here is what he found out. Through his facebook page he shared;

Good evening Nairobi; this afternoon my enforcement team visited the Chinese restaurant located on Lenana/Galana road. We have since established that;

1. The owners of the restaurant have no change of User from Residential to Commercial which is a requirement to operate a business in Nairobi.

2. The restaurant owners have no valid liquor license neither have they complied with the Public health requirements for food handling and testing. Despite orders to do so within the specified period!

As of now the restaurant will remain closed until they comply with all set rules and regulations. We have deployed security officers around the premises.

I would like to reiterate that the Chinese restaurant owners failure to comply has got nothing to do with the friendship and diplomatic relationship Kenya enjoys with the great Country of China and the Chinese government. I would also like to urge business holders to treat customers and clients fairly irrespective of race, tribe, religious affiliation, sex and color.
